Creative Campus Programme 2019 – Linger4Longer
County Library, Tallaght was the location for Creative Campus’19. Our creative exploration/theme
was the interface between the interior of the library and the exterior of Chamber Square.
Over a three-month period from March – May, Creative Campus'19 artists and curator explored all
aspects of Chamber Square, the buildings that surround it and the people who use it.
Creative Campus graduate artists and participating second level students re-imagined Chamber
Square as a thriving hub of activity, a celebratory public space, a place to Linger4Longer.
The Creative Campus’19 team engaged with targeted second-level schools as core active participants
in the project. The 2019 participating schools were Deansrath Community College, St. Marks
Community School and Priory Youth Reach. Participating second level students explored and
experienced a diverse range of approaches to contemporary art making in a professional setting
under the guidance of our artists and co-curators.
Students Emma Brennan from St. Mark Community School and Davina Cox from Deansrath
Community College were award scholarships to the Portfolio Preparation Summer Course at NCAD.
Creative Campus ’19, LINGER4LONGER was exhibited at County Library, Tallaght 30th May – 30th
August 2019.
Creative Campus ’19 was curated by artist curators, Mirjam Keune and Andrew Siddall, produced by
Jennifer Webster and supported by graduate artists Shane Keeling and Peter Slyman, who are both
recent NCAD graduates.
Participating Second Level Artists: Emma Brennan, Patrycja Chmielarska, Davina Cox, Adela
