Will Ryan on The Big Picture TV

Tallaght was visited by the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus last July. The bus is state-of-the-art mobile recording and production facility that provides free digital media production workshops. Assisted by three on-board engineers, students can learn how to write, record, and produce original songs, music videos, documentaries, and live multi-camera video productions streamed to the web in real-time.

It travels the country visiting schools, music and technology conferences and events, and partners with communities and media outlets to call attention to the importance of arts and digital media education.

Will Ryan is a young singer songwriter from South Dublin. He has been taking part in Suburban Sounds for the last three years, and is a hugely promising talent drawing on influences such as Ben Howard and John Mayer. Will was one of the lucky ones to get on board. Here he tells you how he and some other talented local musicians wrote and recorded a song, then made a video a video for it, all in one day.
