Suburban Sounds Concert Photos

Suburban Sounds is an evening-course in music which is open to young people (aged 14- 18yrs) with a passion for song writing, music composition and/or music performance. Course sessions take place every Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 over a period of 6 months, and participants are chosen on the basis of application. It is run in partnership by South Dublin County Arts Office, Alternative Entertainments and CONTACT Studio. The course is based in RUA RED and runs for one 6 month term each year.
Each year, upon completion of the course, all of the participants invite friends and family to come and see them perform the music they have written. Previous concerts have taken place in RUA RED Arts Centre and the Ballyknockan Inn. This year the concert took place in The Grand Social, one of Dublin's most popular live music venues, and everyone was blown away by the standard of songs and performances.
