Keith Moss of The Tightrope Walkers on The Big Picture TV

The Big Picture TV is an online youth TV channel, featuring interviews and live acoustic sessions with bands and solo performers. The videos are filmed and edited by young people aged 14 - 18 years from South Dublin, under the guidance of television producer Elton Mullally and Gerry Horan of CONTACT Studio.

Filmed in The Big Picture in Tallaght, this programme is being run by Foroige in partnership with CONTACT Studio, and is being supported by South Dublin County's Arts Office.

Keith Moss is the frontman and main songwriter in The Tightrope Walkers, a four-piece band whose groove-infused sound is propelled by an incendiary energy, sounding something like XTC and Television arm-wrestling with Real Estate and the Super Furry Animals. With a dash of Gram Parsons, a pinch of 'Tusk'-era Fleetwood Mac and a dollop of 'Station To Station'-era Bowie!

Consisting of Elton Mullally (Bass, Organ & Backing Vocals), Paul Shanahan (Drums & Backing Vocals), Keith Moss (Lead Vocals & Guitars) and Martin Moran (Guitars), their debut single Fat Men Have To Eat was recorded with Ingmar Kiang (Suede, Julian Cope) and released by legendary label Reekus Records. Named as one of the highlights of the 2014 Ones To Watch festival and chosen for both the 2014 Youbloom and Galway Fringe festivals, they are soon to record their first EP with Ger McDonnell (U2, Manic Street Preachers, Martha Wainwright).

"With his appearance at Ones To Watch 2014 both Moss and his band, The Tightrope Walkers, delivered the perfect festival set"

"A thoughtful, intelligent writer of psychedelic pop, he’s a lithe performer of real potential...A voice to listen out for in the future"
- HOT PRESS

"Every so often an artist emerges whose music draws so many influences and spans so many genres that they defy classification. This often leads critics into a game of musical pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey. Just close your eyes, throw out your reference and hope it hits the right spot. Young Dubliner Keith Moss and his band The Tightrope Walkers are exactly this kind of act"
