Jazz Class with Lisa Tyrrell
On 30 April, Lisa will be facilitating a jazz class from 1:30-3:00pm at the dance studio in RUA RED. The class is free for festival performers and can be booked through noisemoves.ydf@gmail.com If you are not performing and interested in taking Lisa’s class, space is limited! Lisa is the Artistic Director of Whynot Dance Company. She also runs a Jazz and Ballet school in Dublin's city centre. Professionally she has danced with “Irish Modern Dance Theatre”, “New Balance Dance Company”, and “Chrysalis Dance”. Performances include "Move it", "Silver Linings", "The Ploughing Championships", "Monto in the Park", "Electric Picnic" , "One is Not Oneself", Cadance Theatre Company, "The Palestine Festival", “The Smirnoff Fashion Awards”, “Le Cenerentola”, “The Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony”. Erin Soup Dine In's, ESB, and Smithwicks commercials, “The Last Furlong”, “Winning Streak”, “Mrs. Browns Boys da Movie”, "and Cellar Door" featured dancer. She is also a regular guest Teacher for Dance Ireland, where she delivers morning professional classes. Lisa is a member of the Teaching Council and a fully registered Teacher with the ISTD Imperial Ballet DDI, DDE, Modern Theatre FDI, CDE, Zumba Instructor, and Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor. Lisa’s Jazz class will involve a full body warm up followed by learning Jazz vocabulary with the focus on technique which will then be adapted into a fun and high energetic routine allowing the dancers to perform and dance their socks off, be prepared to sweat!
