Film Equipment available for hire within South Dublin County!

South Dublin County Council Arts Office has film equipment available for hire within the Community. We have 2 Sony Z1 HDV cameras with accompanying sound equipment and lights.

Proof of insurance and previous experience with equipment must be demonstrated. Bookings must be made at least 3 weeks in advance. For more information, please contact 01 414 9000 ext 3365 and ask for the Arts Office.

Insurance Matters for Use of Equipment
Below is a list of insurers that will help you insure the film equipment. Proof of insurance is required for the use of South Dublin County Council’s Film Equipment.

You can get coverage for hire of equipment across the year or for one-off use of the equipment. It depends on how much of the equipment you will hire and for how long. If you think you will hire the equipment many times over one year, you may be better to get the coverage for the whole year, rather than pay each time you use it.

Alternatively, if you are a member of Filmbase, you may hire their equipment and insurance is included. There is a fee for membership and a fee for hiring their film equipment.
