Emergence Profile Sorcha McCooey

Sorcha has trained in ballet, modern, tap and jazz and has performed at various dance shows since she was a young age.

Sorcha is using #emergence19 as an opportunity to help her find confidence in her choreographic skills with the assistance and guidance of the Emergence Mentors. Her background lies in classical dance and she hopes to create a classical, contemporary piece as part of Emergence.

Music is the main inspiration behind Sorcha's choreography. She says "I love listening to different
types of music, the instant dance steps and movements that pop into my head. Then getting to work
with the dance changing and improving each step, until it reaches a point where I’m comfortable
and like each tiny movement I make."
