Emergence Participant Profile - Lucy West and Alexandra Vostokova

This will be Lucy and Alexandra’s second year taking part in Emergence. They previously co–choreographed and performed their duet ‘It’s like we grew’ as part of Emergence 18 Young Choreographers Show.

Lucy and Alexandra are both members of Dublin Youth Dance Company under the direction of DYDC Artistic Director Marion Ribbon. Their goal as collaborators is to work on their choreographic development and to continue growing as dance artists with the support and guidance of the Emergence Mentor Choreographers.

Speaking about choreography Alexandra says ‘What really excites me is creating something based on a concept you are passionate about. The process of tying threads of thought and choreography together to end up with something you are proud of and eager to present. ‘
