Creating a Cinematic Picture of an Urban Masterpiece
Directed by filmmakers and video artists The Creators - Christopher Tierney and Kevin Robert, “Behind the Scenes” has ambitions as sweeping as the vast blank wall fills. In this lush and hypnotic examination of an urban artist’s work and the times in which we live, Mr Tierney presents an extended contemplation of the creative process itself.
As social commentary, The Creators depictions of life in the concrete Jungle are meticulously detailed. As a sly subversive, this artist has a reward for telling a concealed story to those who know how to look for it. Produced and directed in fact absolutely created by The Creators - Christopher Tierney and Kevin Robert this film is based on the theme of mental health and what it means to these young men. Realising an image that wholly represented their thoughts and feelings. the group from Clondalkin youth service felt that images today can be deceiving and this symbolic image says it all. Running time: 4 minutes.
It isn’t the artist, it’s the art that’s the star here, and Mr. urban artist lavishing sophisticated, enchanting detail spells out not only his symbolism but what is on every youth’s minds. He’s painting cinematically, shooting out the words THINK THIS LOOKS LIKE FUN _ TRY JUGGLE MY FEELINGS.
