Considering a Career in Craft?

Craftspeople and designers shape the world around us because every object we use is designed or crafted--tables, watches, computers, glasses, cups, clothes, shoes and a hundred million other objects. Using imagination, skill, design-technology and craft traditions, a career in craft and design is diverse, challenging, innovative, creative and very rewarding. Pursuing a 3rd level course in Craft or Design will provide you with the skills to make, carve, sculpt, shape, weave, fabricate and manufacture your own unique expression of the past and future. The Crafts Council of Ireland has a lot of information about awards, funding and careers in craft.
